This week
So much is happening this week that excites me! Mainly, I finally get to see The Devil Wears Prada in concert for the first time. Can’t wait for that on Thursday.

StarCraft 2 was released Tuesday of the week (July 27th, 2010). I participated in the beta test and I have to say the game was well made. It’s pretty much the perfect game.
The game is the sequel to the original StarCraft (which was amazing by the way), the time gap between the release of the original and sequel is TEN YEARS. It had counters for every unit and ability in the game, it was perfectly balanced, and was one of the best games of it’s generation.
StarCraft 2 brings a new wave of content that StarCraft wishes it had, such as better graphics, a new array of units, and a powerful map editor. The reasons of StarCraft 2 being the perfect game is simply the fact that you can play the original game itself which is powered by an awesome storyline. The game itself is still working out some balancing issues, but those problems will be patched eventually. Another reason SC2 is such a great game is the powerful map editor provided with the game itself. Think of the editor as taking StarCraft to the next level. Create your own games with insane customization. Create a whole new UI for the game, custom units, sounds, and much more. There are no limits. You can create your own worlds and games, and your games popularity is weighted by a relevance system Battle.net 2.0 has built-in to the system.
Probably the only con of StarCraft 2 is the fact that it does NOT support LAN. No LAN support pretty much means “NO MULTIPLAYER WITHOUT AN ONLINE ACCOUNT”. Most likely this is an attempt to stop piracy, and it will be countered somehow by the pirates themselves.
One additional thing before I end this post is that I REALLLY want to find out what this NextGen MMO is that Blizzard Entertainment is working on. It hasnt even been announced yet and I am stoked for it.
